What to Gift Your Man

What to Gift Your Man

Let’s give you some tips to get the perfect valentine’s gift for your man to avoid embarrassing him unintentionally!
NEVER send him a Teddy bear to his workplace or home, that applies also to big heart balloons or any heart shaped red cakes or huge gifts. Do that and this will make him as the main subject for sarcasm from his coworkers, mother, small brother or sister and you will be having some hidden nicknames that you won’t like!
This might lead to the worst Valentine’s day ever for you if you started the day in the wrong direction.
If you want to send him something then a small flower bouquet or a box of chocolates will be fine and will not embarrass him.
Don’t exaggerate
Men are not waiting for a big expensive gift so keep it simple and small. There’s no need to spend all your life savings for this day, instead go for something symbolic that will give him the right signs and gestures that say “You are my Valentine”.
Make it personal:
The best gifts are the ones meant to be for him only that have a touch of his personality, so know his hobbies and interests and this will get you some ideas tailored for him.
For example if he is into photography then get him an accessory for his camera, something related to his work or favorite sport, or maybe a quote he said engraved on wood or crystal…etc.
Between you and him:
A photo frame with a photo of you both or maybe have this same photo done as a puzzle that you can both play with for fun, or even something that only you and him know and cherish.  For example why not print on a t-shirt some words you exchanged, your nicknames or a love message?
Something he needs:
What did he mention that he needs recently? Even if it is an air freshener for his car, a jacket, a book or a key chain…etc.?
You can ask him indirectly and if you can’t remember what he needs you can ask his friends to help you out. But don’t ask them to share the cost with you if it is expensive, you can do this on his birthday, but not on valentine’s as this should be a message from you to him.
General tips:
• If you are out of ideas then you can go for classic gifts as perfumes, a neck tie, pen or a watch.
• Most men are fans of technology so you can always think of a mobile phone accessory, an iPod, a headset, a wireless mouse or keyboard, a new game if he is a gamer or an accessory for it, or any technology gadget according to his needs, interests or personality. Remember that there is no need for expensive stuff.
• Keep the wrapping small and simple, don’t exaggerate in glitters, balloons, ribbons or in the size of the wrapping.
• Don’t forget to include a card with a nice love message to him and it is more special if it’s your hand writing.
• Avoid over romantic ideas as big hearts, candles or any similar stuff, these gifts might be touchy from him to you and not vice versa.
• A romantic dinner with a love message only is not a bad idea, remember to keep it simple.
• Why not plan a full day together exploring new places or activities? But you must plan it together ahead because he might have planned  something else to or a surprises for you.
• Married couples of course can always think about intimate or sexy gifts, surprises, games or apparel.
Tip of the week: Don’t over think it, men usually are not waiting for a valentine’s gift just a small symbol or gesture or even a kiss from you is more than enough for him to receive the message that you want to deliver “I love you and I care about you”
