Indian doctor killed at Abu Dhabi hospital

An angry Pakistani man killed an Indian doctor at Ahalia Hospital in Abu Dhabi, after the death of his relative, local website Emirates24/7 reported on Friday.
The accused, armed with a big knife stormed into the private hospital and stabbed Dr. Rajan Daniel, a 58-year old urologist, before forcing him on his knees and slitting his throat, the report said.
“He stormed into the clinic although nurses tried to prevent him…he then attacked the doctor and slain him like a sheep….the man then waited at the hospital until the police came and arrested him,” the website quoted sources at the hospital as saying.
“The man appeared furious following the death of his relative…he blamed the Indian doctor for his relative’s death and attacked him without giving him a chance to defend himself…it was a heinous crime that frightened all hospital staff and patients.”
The hospital was cordoned off by the police following the gruesome incident and an investigation is on.
Dr. Daniel, who hails from Kerala in India, has been working with Ahalia Hospital for many years.
