More than 70% of pregnant women suffer from sleeping difficulties during the last months of pregnancy. The increased size of the belly and the uterus placing pressure on the bladder leads to frequent urination and back pain.
Here are some suggestions to help aid restful sleep.
- Buy a maternity pillow: The maternity pillow is formed of two connected pillows made of fabric and fixed by Velcro plastic. It is used to support your back and enable you to sleep in a comfortable position.
- Triangle pillow: The shape of the triangle pillow helps the pregnant woman support her stomach while sleeping on her side. You can use it while sleeping on your back.
- Full-length body pillow: This pillow is designed to support your back and stomach at the same time. The length of the pillow is around 152cm.
- Perfect sleeping position: You can choose a sleeping position that suits you the best. Doctors recommend you to sleep on your left side to boost blood circulation. Choose a solid mattress to support your body curves and place a pillow between your feet and knees – you will feel much more comfortable.
